Thirsty.
Ooh.. I’m guilty of not drinking enough water.
H2O that is.
Pure sparkling water.
H2O.
Do you know that insufficient water causes you to feel tired? You are more easily lerthargic if you don’t drink enough.
And when dehydration goes below a certain level, it gets very hard for your body to bounce back to request for the original level. Let me put it simply in an example. Let’s say that your body needs 10 liters of water to be “in sync”… so if you lose 1 liter, you need to compensate for that liter by taking in water. When you don’t, and the loss causes your body to reach the threshold level, for example sakes’, let’s put it at 7 liters. So when you lose 3 liters, according to this example, your body will feel dehydrated and all, and asks that you take in more water. But surprisingly, the water does not get retained easily - whatever you drink, you pee it all out. You can’t just take 3 liters to bounce the level back up, you need more than that, and probably will take some time for the level to get back to being “in sync” again.
There’s a workaround for this.
In order to cause your body to “accept” the water intake when you are dehydrated below a certain threshold, you simply take isotonic drinks (sports drinks) or water with added salt.
Yea.
Once I took too much alcohol, that left me severely dehydrated. My body ached so badly, I tell you - I felt worse that the worsest I felt - a pestering, lingering, frustrating ache all over that wouldn’t go away, no matter how you tried to eat or drink.
In the end, I diagnosed myself as dehydrated beyond a second threshold (which is beyond the first threshold I was talking about earlier), and downed one whole, big bottle of isotonic drink. It wasn’t some popular or famous brand, in fact it was a very price-friendly. It was at that point I knew, that isotonic drinks - they’re almost equal. Their job is to quench thirst - replenish fluids, more importantly. I was so thankful for that drink. Lovely drink.
In fact, later, I went online and found out that, you don’t need to buy isotonic drinks. You can easily make equivalents by adding enough salt to water. I haven’t really tried that though.
