You’ll Never Know Until You Go Out To Work
How true?
To all you young internet marketers out there… Here’s an axiom to take with you:
A gift axiom from my uncle. He often reminds me that no matter what happens - whether I want to start a business, do something online, get into a line where I’m self-employed (insurance or realtor), I must start working first. In a place where I am employed. By a company. With colleagues. And deadlines to meet… your typical 9 to 5 job.
He says, I’ll learn things I never would when I’m in school.
He says, I’ll meet all sorts of people and realise more idiosyncracies in people than ever before.
He tells me, it will be very important to me someday when I start my own business or go into any other form of work.
And finally, he says, that I would learn a lot.
How true?
Do you young IMers intend to work at all? Or are you frightened off already by the many people who cannot stop cursing their jobs, their bosses, their 9 to 5 job?
