Al Gore Talks About Global Warming… In Simple Terms
Al Gore has been actively increasing our awareness to global warming, and he has since written a book and is now making a movie, “An Inconvenient Truth”. He talks about it with Charlie Rose in our No B.S. video of the day: Charlie Rose with Al Gore
If you have no patience to sit through the whole 56 minutes and 40 seconds, then you got to watch the first 10 minutes at least - for the movie trailer. I think it is very well done.
In the following 10 minutes or so, Al Gore simplifies the gobbledygook of global warming, what is feeding it and how it may or will destroy all civilization some day.
For those who follow the political scene, the 20th minute begins the political discussion with mentions of George Bush, Dick Cheney and their takes on global warming, and let’s not leave out Iraq :).
Another part you got to, got to watch - is the final 10 minutes of the show (46th minute on). Al Gore talks about Hurricane Katrina, the “tipping point” (the technical term is critical value or threshold value) and Charlie Rose wraps up the talk show.
No B.S. Clarifies
Global warming is basically a term to describe climatic changes that will result in extreme weather conditions like winters getting colder, summers getting warmer, storms getting more violent (”stronger”). This concerns us because no human being is able to survive under extreme conditions.
Other movies that concern global warming: The Day After Tomorrow (2004).
